At O'Connell, we believe in educating and engaging our students in social responsibility. Volunteer devotion may be the primary avenue through which students learn the heart of ministry – and become more energetic and effective supporters and participants in Church and ministry going forward. It is a call to grow in love for God and love for thy neighbor.

We establish the connection between service and the Christian faith in our Theology classes and through Senior Projects (see below). Each freshman, sophomore, and junior student is responsible for 25 service hours within the local community.
